Volunteers Get the Garden Ready to Go!

Please join me in thanking Pam Cox with Neighborhood Christian Center and Josephine Williams of GrowMemphis for providing volunteers to work in our garden.

The first group from Florida lined the fence with wood chips.

The second group from Texas completed spreading woodchips, edged the sidewalk, pulled weeds from the beds, filled beds with soil and removed the pile of trash.

I am proud to announce that the Uptown Community Garden is ‘picture perfect’ and ‘shovel ready’!
